Privacy Policy

Last updated: April 1, 2026

The short version: we collect your name, email, and device info to connect you to WiFi and run your stay portal. If you check the opt-in box, we share your contact with the property manager. We don't sell your data, and we don't send you marketing email ourselves.

Who we are

GuestConnect operates the WiFi login portal and guest stay portal you're using right now. We provide this technology on behalf of the vacation rental property management company whose property you're staying at (the "property manager").

In privacy law terms: GuestConnect is a data processor — we collect and store data on behalf of the property manager, who is the data controller and decides how your contact information is used for marketing purposes.

What we collect

We do not collect payment information, government IDs, or precise location data.

Why we collect it

Who receives your data

Your information is shared with the property manager whose property you're staying at. They may use it to send you information about future stays, local events, and promotions — but only if you checked the opt-in box.

If you opted in, marketing communications will come from the property manager directly, not from GuestConnect. Those emails will include their own unsubscribe link, and they are responsible for honoring opt-out requests within 10 business days as required by the CAN-SPAM Act.

GuestConnect does not sell your personal information to any third party. We do not send you marketing email.

We use Google Sheets as a data storage tool to pass contact records to property managers. Data is not shared with any other third parties.

Opt-in and opt-out

The "Keep me in the loop" checkbox on the WiFi login form controls whether your contact information is shared with the property manager for marketing purposes.

To opt out after the fact, use the unsubscribe link in any email you receive from the property manager, or contact us at the address below and we'll remove your record.

Data retention

Contact records are retained for up to 3 years or until you request deletion, whichever comes first. MAC address records are purged after your stay authorization expires (7 days).

Your rights

California residents (CCPA) — You have the right to know what personal information we collect, request deletion of your data, and opt out of the sale of your personal information. We do not sell personal information. To exercise your rights, contact us below.

EU/UK residents (GDPR) — You have the right to access, correct, or erase your personal data, restrict or object to processing, and data portability. To exercise your rights, contact us below. Note: the property manager is the data controller for your contact information and may need to be contacted separately for marketing opt-outs.

All users — You may request deletion of your record at any time by emailing us. We will respond within 30 days.

Security

Access to guest data is restricted to GuestConnect staff and the property manager whose guests you are. Data is stored on secured servers and is not publicly accessible.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The "last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the WiFi portal after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
